Why does experience contribute to Socio-Environmental Justice and Good Living?

From our undertaking, territorial planning plays a fundamental role, since we promote the care and protection of the flora and fauna through the recovery of abandoned areas, pastures and fallow land by means of Agroforestry Systems (SAF). We also delimit primary forest reserve areas, areas for the cultivation of medicinal plants and protection areas for our streams. We are 14 families who feed ourselves with healthy, organically grown products. We sell 24 products, including our coffee, of which we sell approximately 5,000 bags. This coffee is carefully grown, cultivated and produced in an artisanal and organic way. Recently, during the chestnut harvesting season, we have been able to collect between 10 and 15 barrels. In addition, we have an experiential Ecotourism Route, where visitors can learn about our work and how we do it. This Route is an opportunity to raise awareness among people about caring for our environment, about how we can carry out processes for the protection of streams, the reforestation of degraded areas through SAF and about the shared responsibility we have regarding the contamination of the places where we live, mainly the streams.

The work carried out by the experience contributes to the following categories of Socio-Environmental Justice and Good Living.
